Internet business Legend Communications plc - formerly Business Serve and now a subsidiary of THUS plc- chose to locate its head office in Lancaster due to low labour costs, a skilled workforce and strategic transport links.

Legend employs 130 of its 171 strong workforce at its Lancaster office.
The company, an internet service provider for the business-to-business market, floated on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 2004, and was acquired by THUS plc in March 2006.
